How to Delete Your Account

Deleting your JesusCord account is permanent. Once confirmed, all your rooms, messages, and personal data are removed and cannot be recovered. There is no grace period or recovery option.

Steps to Delete Your Account

1. Open the Me tab

Tap the Me icon in the bottom navigation bar to open your profile.

2. Open Settings

Scroll down on your profile page and tap Settings.

3. Tap “Delete Account”

Scroll to the bottom of the Settings screen and tap Delete Account.

4. Confirm deletion

A confirmation dialog will appear asking you to verify your intent. Tap Delete Account to confirm, or Cancel to go back.

What Happens After Deletion

• You are signed out immediately and returned to the welcome screen.
• All rooms you created are deleted, along with their messages and content.
• Your messages in other people’s rooms are anonymized and no longer linked to your profile.
• All personal data — saved messages, notifications, subscriptions, and account preferences — is permanently removed.
• This action cannot be undone.

Having Trouble?

If the deletion fails, check your internet connection and try again. If the issue persists or you are unable to delete your account through the app, contact us directly and we will process the request manually:

We will respond within a reasonable time and confirm once your account and data have been removed.

How to use this in practice

The useful way to approach Jesuscord is to start with the smallest real situation, not a tour of every feature. Open the room, name the question the group is trying to answer, and keep the next action close to the conversation. A prayer request can stay in a thread; a decision can be pinned; a longer explanation can move into room memory; and a person who needs help can be mentioned without creating a second coordination trail.

That structure matters because community work is rarely one message. People arrive at different times, miss context, ask follow-up questions, and need a clear way back to the original moment. Jesuscord keeps those paths connected with persistent history, replies, room links, saves, and notifications. The goal is not to make a group communicate more; it is to make the communication it already has easier to find and easier to continue.

Jesuscord is a communication product, not a pastor, counselor, or spiritual authority. Optional AI helpers can summarize, organize, draft, and answer questions from room context, but people lead care and decide what deserves trust. Moderation tools support safer participation, yet every room still needs responsible hosts and clear boundaries. This distinction is part of the product, not a disclaimer added after the fact.
